Job description - the role
On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for a Regulatory Compliance Specialist for a 6 months contract based in Birmingham - Brindley Place B1 2HP (hybrid - 3 days a week).

Purpose of the role:
* Compliance professional to join our Cross Border Compliance team. Our team sits in the Compliance Department and is responsible for maintaining the bank's cross border risk management framework. You will be responsible for reviewing legal updates from the various countries in which the bank operates and ensuring that our cross border guidelines are kept up-to-date as laws or regulations change.
Key responsibilities
* Reviewing legal updates from our vendors and assessing the impacts they may have on our businesses.
* Making appropriate amendments to cross-border guideline documents to reflect changes in law/regulation and collaborating with and consulting internal stakeholders who will be impacted.
* Becoming a subject matter expert for cross border issues within the bank to provide support and guidance to our businesses.
* Assisting in the delivery of cross border training.
* Building effective working relationships with colleagues across the bank.
* Working, as needed, on change-the-bank initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in the banking/financial services sector (candidates with backgrounds in Compliance, Legal, or AFC roles are encouraged to apply).
* Experience of cross border/regulatory is preferred but not critical.
* Ability to work independently and to meet deadlines.
