About The Role
You will be part of the team responsible for the efficient day-to-day processing of recruitment administration and onboarding within the Council. Ensuring a confident and professional approach, you will work closely with colleagues across all services on recruitment matters to ensure efficient and effective recruitment outcomes. You will also provide a welcoming and supportive transition during the candidate to employee journey.
You will provide pre-employment support by coordinating and following up on pre-employment checks, ensuring that the processes and approaches they undertake are compliant with industry regulations and employment law as the role will involve taking up references, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, right to work in the UK checks, Occupational Health Clearances.
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will be sharing our organisational values, be positive and proactive, with strong coordination, organisation, and administration skills. We are looking for someone who is confident and possesses the ability to work independently in a busy demanding environment and an ability to use their own initiative.
You will have experience of working within a customer environment & ability to demonstrate strong Customer Service Skills. This will include communicating across various channels including but not limited to face-to-face telephone mail and electronic media.
Practical knowledge and understanding of core HR practices to support recruitment and onboarding would be beneficial for this role.
