Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to oversee multiple fixed-price projects under NEC Type A contracts. Responsibilities include project delivery, commercial management, risk mitigation, stakeholder communication, and team leadership, including mentoring Assistant Project Managers. The role requires meticulous planning, effective communication, and contract administration, representing SRC confidently in client meetings.
* Deliver projects to quality, time, and budget through proper documentation, regular reviews, and risk management.
* Manage teams and communicate effectively across all levels.
* Allocate resources to ensure successful project delivery.
* Manage all project phases from initiation to closeout independently.
* Coordinate with consultants and stakeholders to meet project objectives.
* Assist in generating repeat business and new bids.
* Maintain strong client relationships and prepare progress reports.
* Support service delivery and client relationship management with senior colleagues.
* Handle change management, cost control, and variation management.
* Monitor contractor performance and ensure standards are met.
* Delegate tasks to Assistant Project Managers.
* Qualifications include a degree in project management or related field, with at least 5 years' experience managing fixed-price, NEC Type A contracts, and familiarity with rail processes.
* Proven experience in engineering or project management consultancy, preferably in transportation or infrastructure sectors.
* Strong understanding of NEC contracts, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Primavera P6, and contract management software like Asite.
* Working towards or holding professional memberships such as APM or PMI, and relevant certifications.
* Experience with TfL Pathway, Network Rail GRIP, PACE, and complex stakeholder environments.
* Advanced project management skills and a proactive, innovative approach.
* Master’s degree in related fields and Chartered status are preferred.
