Who are the Learning and Corporate Development Team?
This role sits within the Learning and Corporate Development (LCD) team within Talent and Learning (T&L). The LCD team centralises the management of external training from the strategic assessment of learning needs to contract management as well as developing training content for non-technical topics, managing communications, engagement, budget and MI data for Talent and L&D.
The LCD team advocate for talent and learning customers ensuring that their needs are represented and strive to provide an outstanding customer service at every interaction.
Within the team, key responsibilities include the gathering and analysis of learning needs, management of the training budget, creation, delivery and maintenance of the engagement and comms strategy and plan, development of training content and e-learnings for corporate topics, creation and maintenance of MI data dashboards as well as triaging and processing training applications, responding to general learning queries and inbox management.
Who is the Learning and Development Practitioner Apprentice?
The Learning and Corporate Development Practitioner Apprentice will lead on triaging training applications, procuring courses following governance and frameworks, managing the shared inbox for customer service, budget tracking, populating and maintaining data sources., managing communications, supporting the learning needs analysis process as well as managing stakeholders as needed This role will also support the LCD managers on their projects and day-to-day operations to achieve team’s goals as well keeping a mindset of continuous improvement to fully optimise processes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Assessing training applications for the whole of DVSA in line of pre-defined guidelines. Follow the process through from initial assessment to supplier payment
* Respond to queries that come to the shared inbox and liaise with colleagues and line managers to clarify any questions or requirements
* Lead on monthly Viva engage plan to promote T&L activities and initiatives
* Track budget accurately and maintain different data repositories
* Meet with T&L single points of contact when needed
* Collaborate with the rest of the People Directorate colleagues to present a unified HR offer to our customers
