About the Team You will be joining a friendly, experienced, and supportive Programme and Project Management Team who collectively work across a diverse portfolio of projects from Highways, Corporate and Commercial Estates, Housing and Compliance Maintenance with a combined project value in excess of 200m. This includes the retrofit of many of our 1,100 properties and delivery of sustainable transport, public realm and new build projects, to achieve net-zero by 2030. Working as part of the wider Sustainable Communities team, which also has responsibility for Planning, Heritage Services, Housing, Transport Strategy, Public Realm and Corporate Estate, you will need to be a team player with excellent people and project management skills. Whilst the office base will be Keynsham Civic Centre, easily accessible via car or public transport, we offer flexible working, including home working for which IT equipment will be provided, and we are open-minded in structuring working arrangements to suit the right candidates. About the Role We have exciting opportunities to join our Capital Programme and Project Management Team. The roles represent a fantastic opportunity to be an integral part of the transformation within a UNESCO World Heritage Site and UNESCO World Heritage Spa, around Britain s only thermal springs and within an area of outstanding natural beauty. You ll be joining at a time when Bath and North East Somerset Council (B&NES) is undertaking a period of significant capital investment, across a range of challenging programmes, across our unique and diverse asset portfolio. The Council s Capital Programme is shaping the long term sustainability of transport, and the social, historic, environmental and economic landscape of the Bath and North East Somerset. About You We are seeking experienced Programme Managers to join our award-winning team. You should have a proven track record in delivering ambitious outcomes through successful leadership of nationally significant programmes of work, ideally in areas such as transport, housing, urban regeneration or ecology. You will have demonstrable knowledge and experience of developing, implementing and managing programme delivery frameworks to control the risk to delivering outcomes and benefits. Your people skills will allow you to develop a strong, positive working culture in the programmes you lead and also effectively coordinate political and corporate direction through building trusting relationships with senior politicians and leaders.
