Job Title: Buyer
Location: Blackwood
Salary: £25,000-£28,000 per annum
Hours: Full time. Monday - Friday, days regular 37.5 hours a week, start time can be slightly flexible
Here at The Recruitment Co, we are recruiting s Junior Buyer to work for a company in Blackwood on a temp to perm basis.
Main job roles:
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Supply Chain Planner / Buyer will play an
integral part of the team supporting on key functions within the department including below:
Procurement,
Vendor management,
MRP scheduling,
Quality Assurance,
New Product Development,
driving improvement initiatives while maintaining excellent customer service levels and some administrative duties.
Using strong commercial and analytical skills the role will create value for the business through effective negotiation of price, contract and service level agreements.
The ideal candidate
demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach to the buying role and have strong team values.
The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a track record of achieving cost down benefit to the business.

Education and Experience
Educated to degree level - CIPS preferably (or working towards)
Supply chain or Procurement experience
IT literate with strong spreadsheet knowledge
Experience working with a MRP/ERP and SAP system.
Experience working in a legislative environment and familiar working with procedures/systems
