Job Opportunity: School Admin Assistant (Part-Time)\n\nLocation: Primary School, S9 area, Sheffield\nPosition: Temporary Admin Assistant (Grade 4)\nStart Date: May 2025\nDuration: Maternity cover\n\nWe are seeking a dedicated and efficient Admin Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis to cover a maternity leave. The role involves working 25-30 hours per week for 39 weeks of the year (excluding school holidays).\n\nWorking Hours:\n\nMonday to Wednesday: 8am - 1pm\nThursday and Friday: 8am - 4pmKey Responsibilities:\n\nManaging the main reception desk, handling phone calls and messages\nInputting data on SIMS\nReporting school dinners on SIMS\nMonitoring emails\nProviding first aid (first aid training preferred)\nStock monitoring\nGeneral administrative tasks (computer proficiency required)Skills Required:\n\nOrganisational Skills: Managing multiple tasks, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth operations.\nCommunication Skills: Both written and verbal communication are crucial for interacting with staff, students, and parents.\nTechnological Proficiency: Familiarity with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SIMS) and general computer skills.\nAttention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in data entry, record-keeping, and other administrative tasks.\nTime Management: Prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.\nProblem-Solving Skills: Addressing issues as they arise and finding efficient solutions.\nInterpersonal Skills: Building positive relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.\nFirst Aid Training: Preferable for handling minor injuries and emergencies.The desired candidate must be available on Wednesday, 19th March, followed by a short trial in the office.\n\nApplication Process: Please respond to this email with an updated CV detailing any relevant experience to be considered for the role.
