Role : Rehabilitation Support Worker
The event is an all day event. Candidates need to register for either the morning session / the afternoon session. Failure to register during the registration periods will mean inability to take part in interview.
If you are successful in your application to this post, you will be expected to support the delivery of the rehabilitation provided by the team, including:
· The Assistant Practitioner will provide general and specific care to Adults, and will be proficient and competent to work across professional disciplines
• The role involves closely working with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists as well as with the Multi Disciplinary Teams.
• The post holder will be assisting the physiotherapists/occupational therapists in providing treatment, general and specific care to adult patients.
• The post holder will be responsible for carrying out rehabilitation programs with patients, as devised by the physiotherapist/occupational therapist, to maximise patients’ mobility and independence in daily activities in their own home.
• The post holder should have experience, working with physical health clients, basic knowledge of medical conditions.
• Effective time management and caseload management skills are essential, as are excellent communication skills and a commitment to the principles and practices of effective MDT working.
Please note this role involves working face to face with our patients within the community in their homes and similar experience is essential for this role. Previous applicants need not apply.

• To carry out treatment programs prescribed by physiotherapists with designated clients.
• To assist physiotherapists with treatment sessions which may include walking practise, monitoring exercise programmes, equipment provision and teaching techniques of its use.
• To communicate client’s progress to the responsible physiotherapist, both verbally and written.
• To communicate any problems or change in client’s condition to the appropriate member of the multi-disciplinary team.
• To be aware of risk involved in providing care to clients and to ensure self and client safety.
• To demonstrate good manual handling skills.
