The Best Connection Bedford have fantastic on-going production operative opportunities with one of our established clients in Bedford. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the on-going success of our clients partnership with major supermarkets.
Shift patterns are: 06.00 - 18.00 4 days on 4 days off to include weekends as per the shift pattern rotation.
Pay rate: £11.44 per hour, with £12.94 per hour after 12 weeks continuous service.
Full PPE is provided for production duties and training is provided.
Responsibilities of the Production Operative:
* Load and unload trays to be washed for production targets
* Check and sort trays according to category for dispatch
* Carry out weekly stock take and deep clean to ensure high standards of cleanliness
* Stack and wrap pallets to be wrapped for deliveries, ensuring the highest standards of health and safety at all times.
* Operate machine controls when required to maintain production standards
* Work Collaboratively with all departments and carry out ad-hoc duties as required
Requirements of the Production Operative:
* Ability to work at a fast pace to adhere to production targets
* Experience of food production or warehouse production, including manual handling is advantageous
* Must be flexible and able to commit to 4 on 4 off shift pattern, including weekend work
* Possess a positive can-do attitude and team player
* Observe the highest standards of health and safety standards at all times
* Knowledge of working within a production environment, including chilled/ambient workplace essential
