We are looking for a committed individual to join us in Ayrshire on an exciting research study on homelessness and inclusion health run by Dr Richard Lowrie, University Reader from University of Edinburgh's Centre for Homelessness and Inclusion Health. Your role will be pivotal to the research and will include formulating a strategy, with others for participant recruitment and follow-up. As part of the recruitment phase and follow-up, you will perform a number of near patient health tests (blood pressure, pulse, BMI). You will be fully trained and supported in all aspects of this work. It will take hard work and commitment to achieve the set objectives in Ayrshire, and therefore an interest/experience in inclusion health is paramount. You will work with a leading team of researchers and practitioners to improve the lives of people experiencing homelessness.
Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by North Ayrshire Council. Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant PVG check (£59 or £18), which will be deducted in instalments from your wages following commencement of employment.
