Role: Junior Helpdesk Engineer

Are you a motivated, passionate individual looking to take the next step in your career? Cantium, part of Commercial Services group, is now looking for a Junior Helpdesk Engineer to join the team, providing support and taking ownership of all Help Desk duties across the group.
What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate will bring a foundation in IT infrastructure, along with practical knowledge of hardware, databases, operating systems, and local area networks. Ideally, you will have hands-on experience with IT applications and service processes commonly used within the industry, as well as a deep understanding of Windows server environments and Microsoft cloud solutions (including Intune).
What You’ll Achieve:
As Junior Helpdesk Engineer, you will:
* Provide guidance to customers on available systems, products, and services, following established procedures.
* Respond to support requests via inbound calls, the AVA chat system, email, or in-person at the office or customer sites.
* Manage calls according to Cantium's standards, ensuring detailed call notes are recorded for all steps taken toward resolution.
* Stay updated on trends and developments within the ever-evolving information technology industry.
* Facilitate effective communication between users and service providers, including external commercial suppliers when necessary.
* Conduct initial diagnostics of issues, providing known solutions where applicable, and sharing this knowledge with colleagues.
What We Require:
* Experience with IT infrastructure, including hardware, databases, operating systems, and local area networks, as well as familiarity with commonly used application and service processes.
* Proficiency in Windows server environments, Microsoft cloud solutions (such as Intune), and experience in storage, backup, and virtualisation architecture.
* Strong communication skills across all platforms and mediums.
* Self-motivated, with the ability to contribute effectively as part of a team.
