AIM OF THE ROLE: The Buying & Shipping Coordinator is responsible for managing all stock movements and shipping requirements within Redcentric. This includes goods in, stock management, issuing stock to customer projects and shipping once configured. This role will support multiple internal teams and is key to maintaining our customer's high expectations. This is an exciting time to join the Procurement Team as we continue our transformation. This role has become available due to the previous member being promoted into a buyer role as he continues his procurement career journey. Please note: This is an entry level position and training will be provided. Based on site at our Elland Data Centre, 5 days per week. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the receipt of all goods delivered to site Stock control of fast moving items and consumables Reserving & issuing stock against customer projects Introduce processes to improve efficiency within stores & shipping Process and log supplier returns Monthly stock checks, reporting and investigating discrepancies Arrange the removal/disposal of old IT equipment including onsite destruction Packing goods ready for dispatch along with preparation and completion of dispatch documentation Manage and co-ordinate logistics including arranging transport, delivery and arrange administration for international shipments Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs Update and report on delivery and dispatch information as a means of measuring and evaluating performance Track all shipments in line with reporting metrics Deliver account reviews with third party logistics suppliers in conjunction with Procurement Ensure Procurement is made aware of any significant service issues or contractual and commercial challenges Ensure compliance with import/export regulations/customs regulations and health and safety requirements Maintain a safe, clean and tidy stores area PERSON SPECIFICATION Experience/Qualifications : This is a busy and varied role, and the successful candidate will need to prove excellent communication, coordinating, planning and organisational skills. Being able to develop strong working relationships both internally and externally and aid in coordinating the activities of the function is critical as well as the assistance in the development of operational processes and tools. 1/2 years in a stores or shipping role would be highly advantageous. Assertive, resilient and a proactive mindset Self-motivated and results orientated, flexible and works well under pressure Microsoft Office - Excel and Word Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be highly advantageous or similar ERP Able to work at pace and process quickly but accurately with the ability to multitask A relevant qualification preferred but not essential HOURS OF WORK The company's standard hours of work are 9.00am - 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.00am - 3.30pm on Friday with one hour for lunch, however due to the nature of the role, flexibility will be required.
