Salary: £27,238 - £45,109. Incremental progression throughout the band is available.
About the Role
The Digital Department is looking to appoint a suitably qualified, dynamic Teacher of Computing. Now is an exciting time to join our growing department which offers students the highest standard of Digital education across a variety of courses. FutureSkills@MediaCity boasts outstanding IT facilities, the latest technology, links with both national and local businesses and a strong, supportive department.
The successful applicant will be able to teach across Computing, T-Levels and Access to HE Computing, with a strong background in Python programming language. It is also desirable for candidates to possess technical expertise in additional programming languages and possess an understanding of BTEC. We also require applicants to have:
1. A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed).
2. A good honours degree in a relevant subject discipline or significant experience within the IT industry.
3. Knowledge of Networking and Security.
4. Knowledge of Matrix Algebra.
5. Ability to utilise new technologies to engage, inspire and excite students in the subject area.
6. A student first, creative, fun and exciting approach to teaching and learning in the classroom.
