The post holder will have the Band 7 Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist role in the community Forensic Intellectual Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (FIND). The post offers the opportunity to develop clinical leadership skills and enhance the Occupational Therapy services across the pathway, ensuring the occupational needs of service users are addressed and providing an occupational therapy perspective on service delivery.
You will work alongside multi-disciplinary colleagues, as well as a range of other agencies. You will also be contributing to the management of the referral system and assisting the team manager with quality improvement and other specific clinical tasks.
Main duties of the job
* To be responsible for a complex clinical caseload using evidence-based practice to assess, treat and evaluate interventions.
* Lead on the development and delivery of clinical occupational therapy.
* Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to support service users in the learning disability community forensic team.
* Develop and sustain partnerships with third sector organisations to enhance the recovery pathway of service users as they progress from an inpatient setting into the community by instilling hope and having a genuine impact on their quality of life.
