Do you have a passion for sport and physical activity? Kent Sport is looking for a Sports Development Officer to join our team and support the day-to-day running of the sports development programme at the University of Kent.
You will support the planning and delivery of a comprehensive and diverse programme of sport and physical activity sessions and one-off events, which will contribute positively to the wider departmental strategy, to create and embed an Active Campus.
As Sports Development Officer you can expect to be involved in:
1. Administrative tasks and practical activity delivery across the Canterbury Campus.
2. Working under the leadership of the Sports Development and Participation Manager.
3. Contributing efficiently and effectively to the delivery of outstanding customer service.
4. Facilitating student and staff provision and supporting events aimed at engaging the local community.
5. Facilitating children’s sports vacation camps throughout the year.
What will you bring to the role?
1. Sports related or sports coaching qualification.
2. Experience of engaging individuals in physical activity and sport.
3. Experience of coordinating and leading activity sessions and events for all levels of ability.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication.
