Join our team at Fortem as a Voids Supervisor at our Birmingham branch! We're seeking an experienced leader with exceptional people management skills.
As a Voids Supervisor, you will oversee a dedicated team of 10 tradespeople, ensuring that all voids work is completed efficiently and within tight deadlines.
The Project
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead, support, and inspire a team of tradespeople to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, meeting deadlines and achieving first-time success.
2. Collaborate with various departments and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels to deliver exceptional service.
3. Motivate, coach, and retain skilled tradespeople, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
4. Develop and implement a method for accurately assessing and categorising the competency levels of all team members.
5. Oversee the Health & Safety performance of contractors, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
6. Manage the selection, recruitment, and ongoing performance of tradespeople, ensuring the team consistently meets company standards.
Essential and Desirable Criteria
Essential Criteria
1. Proven experience working within the social housing or construction industry.
2. Demonstrated experience managing void properties and overseeing associated works.
3. Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
Desirable Criteria
1. Understanding of Schedule of Rates (SOR) and their application in the industry.
2. Experience in surveying, with the ability to assess and evaluate property conditions effectively.
