The Primrose Centre are seeking to recruit a flexible, enthusiastic and reliable Janitor as soon as possible. Good communication, interpersonal skills and initiative are vital.
The Primrose Centre itself acts as the Primary Provision for both permanently and preventative excluded children in Sandwell. We are very proud of the work we do at The Primrose Centre and it is essential we recruit a motivated individual who shares our vision and can join us on our journey.
The Janitor is responsible for opening the site and carrying out visual inspections, ensuring safe access to the site and cleaning areas ready for the working day.
All duties will need to be performed with full transparency and in-line with the trust's policies and procedures, as well as complying with HSE guidance.
You will need to be:
* Physically able to perform duties such as climbing ladders and moving objects.
* Reliable, punctual, and have excellent attendance.
* Possess a flexible and adaptable approach to working patterns and job tasks.
* Observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties.
* An independent worker, team player, personable and emotionally intelligent.
Experience: Previous experience of working in a school or education setting would be desirable but not essential.

Hours: 10 hrs per week, 7am – 9am Monday to Friday (52 weeks per year)
Salary: Grade C, SCP 5-8 (£24,790 - £25,992 p.a.) Pro rata salary £6,699 - £7,024 p.a.
