Job Title: Business Development Partner Team Leader
Reports to: Global BDP Leader
Location: Milton Keynes/Remote
Overview / Purpose of the position:
1. Reporting to the Global BDP Leader and working closely with key stakeholders, namely the commercial and delivery teams.
2. Responsibility for the line management of the UK/EMEA BDP team and all of their sales support activities to the Regulatory Services/Medical Devices Business Development Teams.
3. Responsibility for leading the development, configuration, implementation and management of sales support processes.
4. Accountability for oversight of sales support activities, client service and management of assigned BDP Team.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
5. Provision of line management duties for all assigned BDPs
6. To manage, monitor and support in the training of the BDPs
7. To act as coach and mentor for the team, reviewing training needs and identify skills development requirements as needed
8. To work with BDP team to agree, plan, implement and monitor quality of work and key performance indicators
9. To communicate effectively with all team members and support team members to ensure the smooth running of sales process in compliance with BSI procedures
10. To ensure the BDPs receive, prioritise and process sales quote requests received from the business development team and associated commercial requests within agreed SLA’s
11. Work with the business development team and delivery team to improve the service provided to clients and effectively handle client associated queries
12. Adopt a collaborative team approach to working within own group and other teams/functions within the department and other areas of the business
13. Drive to improve existing processes, develop, implement and manage new processes to improve efficiency
14. Build strong, collaborative relationships with all key internal and external stakeholder
15. Develop deep understanding of the complexity of the business and its individual business areas
16. Proactively lead solving problem initiatives as required
17. Build an in-depth understanding of client business needs and drivers
18. Undertake specific project work as required
19. Provide support to the management team as required
20. Any other duties which can reasonably be expected within the scope of this role
Key Success / Performance Indicators:
21. Ownership and resolution of problems to satisfaction of external and internal clients
22. Ensuring a high degree of accuracy of data in Salesforce and other systems
23. Quality of service provided to internal and external clients (as per KPI measures)
24. Efficient management of sales quotes from RS Business Development team and associated commercial requests from clients
25. Collaborative interface with Commercial and Delivery Teams

26. Be able to speak and write fluently in English
27. Familiar query resolution and complaints handling
28. Proven track record of leadership and/or line management of staff
29. Ability to coach and effectively develop talented individuals and to address under performance
30. A leader, excellent in managing others
31. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, internally and externally and at all levels
32. Be able to demonstrate your experience of supporting a commercial team with administrative tasks
33. Have experience using a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software to complete tasks e.g. Salesforce
34. Potential to grow with the developing business and take on wider roles and responsibilities
35. Be resilient when under pressure and have a solution orientated mindset
