Job summary
Within our mental health services we have wards caring for anyone requiring inpatient care, providing wonderful opportunities and facilities for patients as well as having Section 136 suites in two site across the county to provide a place of safety which the police can bring people to.
You will carry out all duties required from a registered mental health nurse on an acute inpatient area alongside being a named nurse for the section 136 suite, working alongside a multi-disciplinary team to carry out a diverse range of duties, ensuring the section 136 suite is least restrictive option.
Main duties of the job
1. To participate in the delivery of psychiatric care services, with a priority area being the section 136 suite, for the local population within the contract specification between Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and its' purchasers, within budgetary limits and service specifications under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor and the Ward Manager
2. Ensure all obligations of the Mental Health Act and the Code of Practice are fulfilled and other mental health legislation is complied with in accordance with the Care Programme Approach and Care Management Systems
3. To implement progressive, innovative and socially inclusive care plans with emphasis on user involvement
