MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER – ENVIRONMENT
NORMANTON
What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join the team at Galliford Try within our Environment Business.
You will work on our Yorkshire Water Frameworks, delivering schemes of varying sizes to the Water Industry, across both Treatment Waste and Water schemes.
Ideally, you will be based in or around the Normanton area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.
Reporting to the Project Manager, in your role as Mechanical Project Engineer, you will support in the project management and delivery of Waste non-Infrastructure projects from outline scope to the completion of the construction stage.
You will:
* Be an integral part of the Project Delivery team, interfacing with internal and external multi-discipline designers and Contract Engineers.
* Work in conjunction with delivery teams to promote integrated project delivery.
* Play a primary role in the production of operational construction stage documentation, obtaining all necessary external permits and approvals to commence construction.
* Engage and manage relevant Sub-Contractors through site investigation, design, and construction stages.
* Facilitate accurate programming of works as part of Project Delivery.
* Attend design, progress, and site meetings as required, to review progress and costs.
* Attend internal and external programme reviews and input into Cost to Complete with set budgets.

About You:
We’re seeking someone with experience in infrastructure project delivery and appropriate Mechanical Qualifications, an understanding of NEC 4 Contractual requirements, and a commitment to sustainable development.
To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge of current legislation and be able to work in accordance with QA and H&S procedures.
You are all about teamwork and can demonstrate an understanding of what makes an effective team.
You’ll have a proven track record of effective time management, able to prioritise objectives to meet deadlines.
