Role: Maintenance Engineer - Electrician

Eden Brown are recruiting for a full-time permanent Maintenance Engineer - Electrical for a further Education College in West Yorkshire. The post holder must take full ownership of their duties and tasks and use their initiative to manage their time accordingly in order to achieve the full requirements of the role.
Responsible for the highest standard of maintenance which includes Reactive, Planned Preventative and Scheduled Maintenance Services providing the best possible support at the College. The role is focused on maintaining buildings, infrastructure, and equipment in compliance with statutory standards and approved codes of practice. The Post Holder shall take ownership of the operation, maintenance, and service of all building services, infrastructure, and equipment to plan work/services to maximise reliability and availability, thereby maintaining environmental conditions and standards of service.
In your role, you will be accountable for:
1. Maintaining the efficient operation of all equipment associated with boilers and plant.
2. Water treatments and monitoring in accordance with manager's requirements, working alongside the incumbent provider.
3. Working on domestic hot and cold-water service and sanitary systems.
4. Undertaking planned and reactive maintenance on Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems.
5. Undertaking planned and reactive maintenance on circulation pump sets, motorised valves, and pressurisation units.
6. The ability to be mobile and travel to any of the college sites.
7. Developing an understanding of the complete working of all of the plumbing/water systems within the College sites. This includes the efficient operations and maintenance of associated equipment and being able to instruct contractors' personnel in the same.
8. Keeping up to date with all planned maintenance tasks.
9. Operating computer-based building management systems to monitor environmental conditions and change control parameters as necessary.
10. Keeping sufficient stocks of consumable goods for use in the case of general maintenance or emergencies.
11. Ensuring that all drains and sewage systems are fully operational and functioning correctly and that relevant planned maintenance is met and carried out.
12. Undertaking tasks relating to smartlog.
Required Experience / Qualifications
1. A relevant electrical qualification - City & Guilds (or equivalent NVQ level 2).
2. Previous trade experience in the relevant technical field.
3. Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
4. Full UK Driving Licence.
5. Knowledge of hot & cold-water systems, Calorifiers, Boilers, Legionella Control, and general Plumbing services.
6. Understanding of BMS systems and operation.
7. Understanding of Building Management systems.
8. 3 years of experience in a similar role.
