Boden are working alongside a Leading FM provider who are looking for an Regional SHEQ Manager to join their team in Edinburgh on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
Salary: £60,000 plus Annual bonus and Company car or equivalent
Based from Edinburgh, the role holder will provide guidance and leadership to ensure that contracts in the Sustainable FM division meet their statutory health and safety requirements and to assist contracts in delivering business initiatives.
This role will identify and deliver solutions to improve operational Health and Safety management and performance in contracts Scotland and Cork. Working closely, and in partnership, with the operational teams this role will ensure the H&S objectives and safety culture are embedded and improved across the operational sites across the region.
What will you deliver?
1. Management of Health And Safety across the Regional Operational area to ensure all work is undertaken to external and internal standards and guidelines.
2. Work with the Sr Health And Safety Managers, SHEQ Solutions, CDM and Central SHEQ to utilise and maintain adequate systems to meet all statutory and EQUANS obligations.
3. Ensure all reportable data (Near Misses, Accidents, RIDDORs, HiPos, LTI's, Incidents, LSV/MSV) is recorded accurately on the contract - coach contracts, sites and individuals where required.
4. Establish Health And Safety Action Plans for each contract with the Contract Director/Manager - these outputs will deliver safer workplaces, improved employee engagement, culture and support our work-winning activity as models of best practice.
5. Act on the findings of Health And Safety audits - providing guidance to the sites and feedback to SHEQ Solutions on tools, processes and systems that may be needed to improve the safety and quality of our work.
6. Mentor the Safety Ambassadors within the contracts that you will be responsible for.
7. Lead by example in following the company's Responsible Business values and objectives.
8. Ensure that each contract has a Training Matrix or Learning Management System to ensure that all colleagues within the region have the appropriate H&S training, qualifications, and development. The delivery of training that impacts safety should be monitored and prioritised.
9. Lead investigations and liaise with stakeholders, ensuring detailed investigations are undertaken and full reports/ recommendations are provided - these reports will adequately identify the root causes of incidents.
10. Hold close out meetings, to ensure incidents/ investigations are fully closed and firm action plans with recommendations are presented to the Accident Incident Review boards to prevent further occurrences across the division and UKBU.
11. Support other internal functions to ensure systems and resources are appropriate to manage the risks across the area.

Who are we looking for?
1. Previous experience of a Health and Safety role within the construction, energy sector, FM or related industries
2. Demonstrable experience relevant Health and Safety legislation
3. NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety; British Safety Council Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health; City & Guilds Level 5 (NVQ) Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice; NCRQ Level 6 Diploma in Applied Health and Safety or equivalent qualification or qualification by experience
4. NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety
5. Membership of IOSH
6. Experience of fire prevention and fire management
