Senior Engineer - Acoustic Signal Processing (and Navigation Systems Integration)

Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our innovative and well-established client for a Senior Engineer with expertise in acoustics, signal processing, and software development to join their Navigation team and take on the responsibility for enhancing the performance and accuracy of critical systems. This is a permanent position based near Frimley.
What you'll be doing
You'll be contributing to the design of velocity sensors (like DVLs, CVLs, EM Logs) with a particular focus on Doppler Velocity Log (DVL). You'll be developing and refining signal processing algorithms as well as implementing these into well-structured software. You'll be involved in testing; both simulation-based and practical experimentation to validate real-world performance. You will collaborate within and between teams of multidiscipline experts across design, mechanical and electronic engineering, software and application engineering, contributing to the development of world-class marine navigation products and solutions.
What we're looking for
* Expertise in the design and implementation of underwater acoustic measurement algorithms - with an understanding of one or more of; Acoustic signal design, Signal processing, Sensor Fusion Techniques.
* Educated to Degree level in a subject like Navigation / Control Systems, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
* Industry experience in C/C++ development.
* Experience and ability to work in a structured development environment that includes:
o Documenting designs.
o Following coding guidelines.
o Developing unit and system tests.
o Using source control systems and engaging in peer code reviews.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
