Teaching Personnel is working closely with a school in Bridgend that supports pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) to find sporty and enthusiastic educators, who are looking to expand their experiences and knowledge in an school setting. Any previous experience supporting Additional Learning Needs, whether professional or personal, are desired and will ensure that you can hit the ground running when in the school.
The school is for pupils ages 7-19 so being able to build rapport efficiently with this age group and colleagues is essential to success within the role. A basic understanding of the Welsh curriculum is needed to be able to help pupils through lessons. If you have any previous sporting experience, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities of a Learning Support Worker are:
Ensuring pupils are engaging in all sessions. To plan and implement appropriate techniques to deal with challenging behaviour in pupils where appropriate. To take part in relevant training and courses as required. Requirements and qualifications:
Enhanced DBS and registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) (Teaching Personnel can help you attain this) Understands the development needs of children and those with disability/challenging behaviour. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
