Our client is an established and successful principal Scaffolding contractor based in Buckinghamshire. Due to this success, they are now seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor to join their busy commercial team.
As a Scaffolding Quantity Surveyor you will ideally have a background in Scaffolding, and previous experience working with main contractors.
Scaffolding Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:
1. Working on Scaffolding projects.
2. Responsible for undertaking measurement of completed and pre-survey works and producing a detailed report on the works content in relation to the purchase order received from the client.
3. Responsible for entering full details of the report onto the internal company systems, ensuring that reports and costings are provided to the internal team and the external client teams.
4. Responsible for providing monthly valuations of work they oversee to the senior quantity surveyor.
5. Responsible for providing detailed cash flow forecasts for works completed and populating commercial reporting.
6. Responsible for reviewing the monthly subcontractor applications, ensuring accuracy via re-measuring of works that are being applied for.
7. Responsible for quantifying direct delivery cost and ensuring accurate material allocation to the works.
8. Responsible for ensuring final accounts are completed promptly on completion of works on site and provided to the senior quantity surveyor for review.
9. Responsible for working on your set objectives outlined by the line manager.
Scaffolding Quantity Surveyor Experience:
1. 2 years experience as a quantity surveyor or estimator in the Scaffolding industry.
2. You will need a good knowledge of trades and relevant costs within this industry and understand codes and relevant uplift required.
3. Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be decisive in judgements.
4. Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate as part of a team.
5. Organised and focused on meeting required targets.
6. Applicant must have a driving license. This role will be primarily based in the office in Bucks, with some expectations to travel to sites around London.
Package:
1. Salary negotiable depending on experience.
2. 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
