This Project Manager's role is with one of the UK's leading main contractors. They have an excellent reputation and build some of the country's most iconic buildings. They are a diverse organisation covering most sectors of the built environment and this specific role is within their fit-out and refurbishment division. Projects are varied ranging from £500k - £50 million in the commercial, retail and public sector.
The Role
We are looking for a Project Manager to lead a £5 million refurbishment of a listed building for a high street bank.
Your role will include:
1. Overall responsibility for the success of the project.
2. Allocate resources and staff ensuring projects have appropriate on-site supervision.
3. Assist in the development of programmes for project delivery and monitoring.
4. Identify the quality expectations and ensure these are achieved.
5. Manage statutory and company requirements for managing Health, Safety and environment compliance.
6. Understand the contractual requirements of the project.
7. Identify and manage risk.
8. Agree requirements for time, cost and quality aspects of trade contractor packages.
9. Maintain good relationships with clients, consultants, and sub-contractors.
Experience of working on Listed Buildings is a must for this role. Also, working across retail banking doing both refurb and new build is crucial!
To be successful in the role, you will be an effective communicator with a positive, passionate, and engaging approach. You will have good writing and analytical skills and have solid experience in taking full responsibility and leadership for fit-out, refurbishment, and cut and carve projects.
