Here in Consett, we have a team of around 280 colleagues. We produce a range of chilled ready meals for some of the UK's leading retailers, including Co-op, Sainsbury's, and Weight Watchers.
What you'll be doing
We're looking for an experienced, people-focused Learning and Development Coordinator to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract, working part-time (24 hours per week across three weekdays).
This is a site-based role, and we're happy to offer flexibility on which weekdays you work.
In this role, you'll:
Oversee and deliver all site-based learning and development activity, including compliance and audit training.
Line manage two Operational Trainers, driving performance, structure, and efficiency across their delivery.
Support a large, site-wide L&D audit and ensure all training documentation and systems are accurate, consistent, and up to date.
Ensure an engaging and compliant company induction programme is delivered to all new starters on their first day of employment
Monitor and report on L&D KPIs, ensuring alignment with site and Group targets.
Support ongoing improvements in training processes, including SOPs, training matrices, and compliance tracking.
Manage and make updates to the L&D budget plan in collaboration with site leadership.
Work closely with peers across Greencore's L&D network
What we're looking for
Proven experience in a Learning and Development role within a manufacturing or similar commercial environment.
Confident line manager, with the ability to drive high performance and coach others.
Strong knowledge of training legislation and compliance
Proactive and fast-paced working style, able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Comfortable reviewing and refining training budgets and plans.
People-focused and relationship-led - a trusted presence on site.
Comfortable managing and improving existing L&D structures, trackers, SOPs, and tools.
