The purpose of the role is to ensure that San UK Group remains in compliance with UK regulations. The role holder will act as an IT Controls Specialist for IT Operations and will be the primary subject matter expert of IT governance, risk, and compliance, expected to lead interactions with internal/external stakeholders, clients, corporate Risk, Governance and internal auditing.
The role holder will work in close collaboration with Service Management, Service analytics and various functions of IT operations, with a specific focus on continuous monitoring and auditing of governance processes and their compliance with internal and external regulatory reporting.
The difference you’ll make:
* Ensuring alignment of Standards, policies and procedures for IT operations, identifying risk and the necessary internal controls required to achieve control compliance objectives.
* Leading consultation and remediation on issues that arise inside the required execution of controls within the IT Control Framework, collaborating in new and developing areas of the business ensuring compliance with internal control practices.
* Researching and utilising operational risk practices for the area of responsibility – IT Operations, producing a range of reports including formal Attestation statements on status and health of IT systems/software reviews.
* Driving and managing the evaluation, testing, and validation of IT systems, services and/or software in line with internal and external control requirements.
* Coordinating the completion of reporting requests to present at relevant forums and committees for decision making.
* Developing and maintaining appropriate report repositories, collaborating with service analytics, service management and IT operations functions.
What you’ll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
* Risk control and governance experience, maintaining all governance requirements for internal and external audits.
* SOX compliance.
* Demonstrable knowledge and skills of statutory reporting matrices and processes, to meet both organisational (internal) and external (statutory) requirements.
* Experience with reporting, presentation and data analysis skills.
It would also be nice for you to have:
* Experience within Banking or Finance would be advantageous.

This role is based in Milton Keynes.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

1. 1st Stage – Technical Interview – this will be a 30min technical interview with one of the team.
