Job Description
An experienced electrical maintenance engineer is required for a hugely successful manufacturing business based in Leeds.
The business is a global manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of high-quality products for the aerospace and defence sectors, with sites across the world. They are part of the biggest aerospace manufacturing group in the world. With a site stretching over 200,000 sq feet, they have superb manufacturing facilities ensuring the highest standards are achieved. They also have a strong team of 16 maintenance engineers across the shift system, providing a great opportunity to learn from their most experienced engineers on each of the machines.
Benefits
Salary circa £44K, overtime during the week, 33 days holiday including bank holidays, quarterly bonuses, a company pension scheme with matched contributions up to 7.5%, medical cover, sick pay, and various other benefits.
Responsibilities
* Provide electrical maintenance to machinery including CNC, manual, robots, conveyors, moulders, casting furnaces, and finishing equipment.
* React to urgent breakdowns, minimizing machine downtime.
* Perform electrical repairs on motors, drives, inverters, encoders, boards, wiring, switches, relays, contactors, sensors.
* Fault find and interrogate PLC systems to trace faults.
* Order adequate spares and parts correctly.
* Follow PPM schedules for routine servicing and inspections.
* Support the maintenance manager with the in-house CMMS.
Candidate Requirements
* Electrical bias maintenance engineer, maintenance electrician, or electrical engineer.
* Apprentice trained or hold an electrical engineering qualification.
* Ability to carry out repairs and breakdown responses on capital equipment.
* Understanding and interpretation of electrical drawings.
* Flexibility to work a 3-shift rota.
The role initially starts on morning shifts for the first 3 months during training. Once trained, the position moves to 40 hours per week rotating through Morning, Afternoon, and Night shifts, Monday to Friday (Nights from Monday to Thursday).
