We have full & part time roles in West & East Suffolk for experienced or aspiring band 6 SLTs to join our passionate and forward-thinking team working in mainstream schools, clinic venues and Early Years settings. The 1.0 wte roles are split between clinic and mainstream school caseloads.
As a Band 6 therapist you will have a strong clinical skill set in assessing and providing therapy for a diverse paediatric caseload and you will typically support a 'mini team' of SLTs & SLTAs working in the same geographical area. This involves overseeing and planning service delivery including priority workstreams, providing clinical guidance and sharing expertise, as well as organising and chairing regular mini team meetings. You will be experienced in delivering online training and working with therapy partners.
Previous experience in supporting/mentoring colleagues is desirable, and experience or an interest in working with CYP who experience stammering is welcomed.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:
1. Oversee caseload management, delivery and efficacy of therapy services for a geographical mini team or equivalent to ensure clinical or service priorities are met.
2. Supervise Band 4 Speech and Language Therapy Assistants and other colleagues within the team.
3. Support Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapists (NQSLTs) where required.
4. Deliver training packages to parents/carers and educational staff (both face to face and virtually).
5. Work flexibly across a variety of settings, as required, including schools, school units, community clinics, preschools, nurseries and children's centres. This will include daily travel across sites.
6. Provide specialist assessment and plan/deliver therapy interventions for children and young people with a broad range of speech, language and communication needs.
7. Champion partnership working with families, educational staff and the wider professional team to create and implement individualised therapy plans and to support effective outcomes for children and young people.
8. Actively contribute to team meetings, clinical supervision sessions and take a proactive approach to continued professional development.
9. Maintain accurate and up to date clinical records in line with NHS, HCPC standards and Trust policies.
10. Take an active role in supporting wider service development projects.
