What you'll need
* You will need to be in your second or penultimate year at university on track to receive a minimum of a Bachelor 2:2 degree in town/urban planning, urban design, geography or another relevant built environment / real-estate discipline.
* You will need to have completed at least two years of university by September 2025 to be eligible for this scheme.
* This role is designed for a sandwich year student. However, we are also open to students in their final year seeking to gain experience before starting a Masters.
What you'll be doing
You will be a Planning and Development Assistant in the Property Development, P&D team; helping realise Mayoral objectives to deliver new homes, affordable housing, high quality place making and income generation through the development of TfL property across the commercial estate. You will undertake planning research, appraise potential development sites and opportunities, review planning policy, provide planning advice to colleagues and generally support the progression of development schemes.
While you will be part of the P&D team, the role will also provide opportunities for you to gain experience of other roles in property development. You will work closely with other parts of TfL, the GLA, local authorities, developers, consultants, and other key stakeholders.
You will make a valuable contribution to exciting and innovative projects in London, helping you to develop your understanding of the planning and the development process.
