Job Description
As IT Project Manager you will be working as part of a newly established IT PMO, the IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, execution and successful delivery of IT lead projects or sub-projects out by the wider Culina Group, in which an IT stream is required. PM shall lead projects, plan resources and govern those projects according to strict deadlines and within set and agreed budget, while adhering to the relevant PMO framework.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09.00-17.00 (Hybrid working)
This role could be based from one of our Midlands sites with travel between sites are needed. (Rugby, Lutterworth, Corby, Banbury or Milton Keynes.)
Key Duties of IT Project Manager:
1. Facilitate the definition of the project scope, requirements and deliverables using Culina standard documentation
2. Define project tasks and resource requirements using Culina standard documentation
3. Manage the project budget in line with business expectations and budgetary commitments
4. Assemble and lead a projects team
5. Develop, control and communicate the project plan, timeline and milestones
6. Track and report project deliverables to the project team and stakeholders
7. Identify and manage inter-project dependencies and critical path
8. Manage Risk, Issues and Changes on an ongoing basis - Highlighting appropriate risks to the PMO
9. Delivers progress reports, proposals and presentations as required by the PMO Framework
10. Ensure that any deliverables requiring support in steady state are handed over to the relevant teams
11. Ensure that Legal and Procurement processes are followed
12. Close the project, ensuring lessons learned are documented
13. Follow applicable policies, framework, standards and guidelines that have been identified for the particular project
14. Produce reports for key stakeholders as required by the PMO Framework
15. Responsible for acquiring resources (internal and nominated 3rd party, if required) and coordinating the effort of the team members in order to deliver projects according to plan and budget
16. Assemble and co-ordinate project team (Business, IT and External)
17. Negotiate with resource owners and as required, ensure that project targets are provided for project resource
18. Identify Roles and Responsibilities for the project team;
19. Where 3rd party contract negotiations are required, the Project Manager will work with the relevant procurement team to ensure that procedures are followed
20. Identify and agree participation of Project Sponsor and where required establish project steering groups
21. Identify and liaise with Key Stakeholders to provide applicable governance for the project
22. Regularly monitor and report progress to all stakeholders and the steering group
23. Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project
24. Quickly gain confidence of the business and colleagues through good communication and influencing skills – acting as an advocate for the Project Management team
25. Support and promote a culture which is genuinely inclusive and respectful
26. Foster collaboration through clear and inclusive communication
27. Lead projects with integrity – act proactively & decisively when taking the lead on tough
Qualifications
28. Logistics experience would be an advantage but not essential.
29. Degree or relevant solid project management experience
30. Business and/or computing related apprenticeship/degree
31. Proven experience in project, people management, project planning, requirements management, change management, supplier management, risk & issue management
32. Proven experience in sponsor and stakeholder management
33. Ability to 'think out the box' and when under pressure
34. Experience in reviewing strategy, understanding, and applying to project based work
35. Excellent communicator
36. Knowledge of IT applications
37. Experience in the successful implementation of complex projects
38. Ideally previous experience in Warehousing, Logistics, FMCG
39. Willingness to travel as and where needed
40. Maybe required to work outside of normal business hours
