Administration and Support Coordinator
We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration and Support Coordinator to play a vital role in providing support at Route One. Position: Administration and Support Coordinator
Location: Brighton
Salary: £25,259 per annum, pro rata (£19,664)
Hours: 28.5 hours per week 09:00–15:00 Monday to Friday (with 30 minute unpaid lunch break) Plus one weekend a month working 09:00 - 17:00, for which time off in the week is given.
Contract: Permanent

About Route One:
Route One project provides accommodation for thirty-nine adults presenting with a range of mental health diagnoses, including: Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorder, Depression, OCD, PTSD, those with multiple complex needs and people experiencing the effects of trauma.
The service provides a dynamic, flexible approach to supporting people with mental health and complex needs, incorporating the recovery model, trauma informed care, and working within a psychologically informed framework.
About the Role:
The role of the Administration and Support Coordinator is to provide administrative support to the Route One team and housing-related and flexible tailored support to people with mental health and complex support needs. The role will include:
* Working with Route One Mental Health and Housing Support workers to provide additional support to clients as needed, including attending external appointments, cleaning and organising activities.
* Cleaning vacant rooms, coordinating maintenance-related work, and ensuring re-letting timeframes are met.
* Offering group-work support, including facilitating client-led workshops and activities.
* Liaising with contractors to coordinate and plan efficient completion of maintenance related tasks.
* To provide administrative support which includes overseeing the Route One main telephone line and managing inboxes.
* To manage the petty cash system including submitting petty cash returns, cashing petty cash etc in line with BHT Sussex policy.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide emotional, practical and housing-related support, using a positive, empowering, recovery- focused approach; this may include assisting with cleaning, accessing laundry facilities, shopping, preparing meals, and budgeting.
* To be responsible for raising maintenance requests and liaising with BHT Sussex Housing Services and contractors to organise access arrangements with staff and clients.
* With the support worker, to prepare vacant rooms for prompt re-letting; this will include cleaning, clearing, co-ordinating and arranging maintenance/repairs, and liaising with contractors and/or suppliers.
* To provide administrative support which includes overseeing the Route One main telephone line and managing inboxes.
* To manage the petty cash system including submitting petty cash returns, cashing petty cash etc in line with BHT Sussex policy.
Person Specification:
To be successful in the role of Administration and Support Coordinator you will need to have great communication skills and be committed to the values of BHT Sussex. Some of the key skills and experience you will need to bring with you include:
* Experience of working with vulnerable people and an understanding of mental health and/or multiple complex needs.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people (verbally and written).
* Complete administrative tasks to a high standard including overseeing the Route One main telephone line, managing inboxes, taking meeting minutes, writing letters, managing petty cash, updating systems accordingly etc.
* Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Teams, Word, Outlook and Excel.
