Due to growth of the team, we are seeking for a Group Financial Accountant to join our Finance team!

What You'll Be Doing:
As a Group Financial Accountant, you'll be doing the following:
Month end reporting
* Assisting with the loading of data and review of monthly information provided to the Group team (prepared in consolidation systems - Cognos Controller and TM1).
* Assisting with the consolidation of the Group financial accounts on a monthly basis including the preparation of supporting files, including IFRS 16 and other group adjustments.
* Commercial review of monthly input from subsidiary companies.
Preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts for the Plc under IFRS (year-end & interims)
* Data extraction and analysis to assist with the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts for the Plc under IFRS (year-end & interims).
* Preparation of financial information for external announcements / presentations.
* Coordination and preparation of supporting files for audit.
* Involvement in ad-hoc projects to continuously driving efficiencies and process improvements across all workstreams.
* Consolidation of the Group budget balance sheet.
* Preparation of annual impairment reviews for the intangible assets and investments held in associates and joint ventures.
What We're Looking For:
* Must be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with at least 1 year PQE and a well-respected degree
* A technically strong accountant able to interpret and articulate complex accounting guidance clearly in a clear and concise manner in both written and verbal formats
* Excellent technical knowledge base – IFRS and FRS 101/102 and experience with IFRS 16
* Experience in the production of or audit of Plc accounts
* Listed company experience achieved either in industry or in practice, preferably with retail experience
* Have a commercial outlook and an understanding of how accounting standards are applied in a commercial retail context
* Confidence speaking to new people and ability to contact through email, telephone or in person meetings. Good interpersonal communication skills in order to build and maintain relationships within Head Office and local subsidiary teams
* Self-motivated with an enquiring mind
* Highly analytical and data literate
* The ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently
* Proactive and organised, with a willingness to learn and work with initiative.
