SUPPORT WORKER / MILLIES – COURTYARD
WE DO NOT OFFER SPONSORSHIP.
Hours: Full time. The shifts are: 7:30am - 2:30pm, 2:00pm - 9:00pm, 7:30am - 9:00pm and waking nights 8:30pm - 8:00am. Sleep ins when required.
Located in Liverpool
The Role
Provide a high standard of support that enables our children and young people to be as independent as they can, learn and develop through education and experience, stay healthy and most importantly, have a fun, fulfilling life.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing practical assistance and emotional support to empower our young people to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
* Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people supported and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
* Facilitating social, educational and play or recreational activities of their choice. Supporting them to maintain contact with families or significant others is a key priority.
* Undertaking all aspects of day to day household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping. Supporting our young people to manage their personal care and hygiene.
About you:
To be successful in the Support Worker role, you will not necessarily need experience in complex health support as all staff undergo a training programme overseen by a paediatric nurse trainer and will be continuously supported by the management team. It is desirable to:
* Have previous experience in supporting children within a residential setting.
* Hold or be working towards a NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

About The Service
We are a single level, self-purpose-built home which can support up to 5 children with complex medical needs and learning difficulties. Providing a consistent, safe, and nurturing environment where children thrive.
