We are urgently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to work for a world-leading environmental services consultancy. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a commercially astute Business Development Manager to expand the network of clients through relationship building, promotion, and events across areas in geotechnical, ecological surveying, environmental planning consultancy, asbestos/hazardous material testing and inspection, topographical/utilities surveying, or radiation protection services. If you have commercial sales experience in any of these areas, our client would be interested in hearing from you!
Requirements:
1. Extensive business development experience in environmental services
2. Previous sales management experience in engineering consultancies
3. Up-to-date knowledge of environmental processes and regulations
4. Proven track record of sales and contract management in permitting and compliance
5. Attention to detail and high numeracy skills
6. Excellent negotiation skills
Duties:
1. Identifying prospective business opportunities
2. Upselling the company's products and services at various project stages
3. Ability to close contract deals
4. Negotiating and persuading contract agreements
5. Promoting and raising awareness of the consultancy services of the organization
6. Liaising with clients and technical staff to ensure project deadlines and sales are met
Our client is looking for a sufficient self-starter, prepared to promote and build the business from the ground up. Your main focus would be to develop sales to secure orders from prospective clients to hit business targets.
