This includes applicants who have previously worked as a Sandwich Placement Student in the NHS or other industry in an accounting team as part of their degree.
Candidates must be AAT qualified or equivalent and possess sufficient recent and relevant experience or study in a finance department or accounting. The ideal candidate will be proactive, with strong communication and good analytical skills.

The post holder will be responsible for providing a proactive management accounting service to one of the Trust’s divisions. This includes working closely with Senior Managers and Clinicians within the Trust, advising on financial issues, and dealing with complex financial matters and enquiries.
The Management Accountant will be expected to produce monthly budget statements from the ledger in accordance with the Trust reporting timetables and high-quality financial reports and analyses, including non-financial data, and identifying and explaining directorate variances and trends.
They will support the finance manager with the directorate’s annual budget setting, regular budget holder meetings, and preparing forecasts and performance reports.
The post holder is expected to ensure a customer-focused service is delivered to the divisions and provide technical finance support to non-finance colleagues.
