Job Title: Electrical Engineering Manager
Location: Remote- With fortnightly visits to Worcester office and visits to Site.
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + Package (Car allowance/Vehicle)
Role Summary: This is a key leadership role with a unique opportunity to make a substantial impact on a growing solar operations and maintenance company. As Engineering Manager, you will inherit and lead a team of 15-20 electricians across various skill levels, supporting solar panel maintenance and ensuring the quality, efficiency, and safety of all engineering projects. This is a strategic, non-hands-on role, focused on building robust processes, guiding engineering leads, and delivering exceptional service to their clients.
Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership:
* Lead and develop a team of 15-20 electricians, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and high-quality work.
* Partner closely with the Operations Director, Managing Director, and HR Director to align team goals and meet stakeholder needs.
* Guide and support engineers, including new team members, on all site-related activities and ensure consistent standards are met across projects.
Operational Oversight:
* Monitor projects, ensuring job quality, client satisfaction, and adherence to safety standards.
* Be a critical voice on project progress, identifying areas of success and improvement while protecting the company's license to operate.
* Responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all solar panels and managing associated cost streams.
Growth and Process Development:
* Play a vital role in the growth of the business, helping transition it from a small to mid-sized company with a focus on solar expertise.
* Build and implement processes around Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance, governance, and operational excellence.
* Serve as a cultural champion, promoting trust, transparency, and emotional intelligence within the team and with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience in an Electrical engineering management/Supervisor role
* Strong understanding of HSE standards and governance, with experience in creating scalable processes.
* Proven track record of successfully leading teams through change and growth phases.
* Excellent soft skills with the ability to build trust and manage stakeholder expectations constructively.
