Payroll Assistant Due to continued growth, Pebbles care have a brand-new opportunity for a Payroll Assistant to join us on a part-time basis. This is a permanent, part-time role and is mainly home based with occasional travel. The overall purpose of the role Your role will be to manage the end-to-end payroll function for around 65 employees. In the short-term, the role will also focus on supporting the Payroll Manager while we complete the integration of our new rota and HR systems. Your role will involve liaising closely with finance, HR and Operations Managers as well as utilising our software packages. Responsibilities Managing the delivery of our payroll service for approximately 65 employees Processing Monthly payroll using Sage 50 Processing starters, leavers, and changes to employee terms, using the company HR system HMRC Reporting and submissions Dealing with statutory payments (SSP / SMP / SPP) Processing tax codes / student loans / AEQS Calculating and authorising temporary worker's holidays Processing P11D submissions Engaging with staff and managers to ensure payroll queries are dealt with accurately and efficiently Preparing month on month payroll variance analysis along with staff & payroll reports for our management team. Essential Criteria Proactive nature. Good problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills. Consistent professional manner Ability to work accurately, prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines. Willingness to learn new skills. Can work independently or as part of a team.
