For a very agile and dynamic manufacturer in the North West, we are recruiting an Operations Manager to lead a busy site. Main responsibilities: Reporting directly into the Managing Director, the Operations Manager has responsibility over the whole manufacturing in order to meet customers expectations in Quality, Cost and Service. As Operations Manager, you will ensure full adherence to rigorous Quality and Health and Safety protocols and industry-specific regulations, promoting a safety-first culture throughout the entire site. Constantly driving a Continuous Improvement mindset, you will identify and implement improvements and changes employing Lean methodologies to boost efficiencies, reduce waste, maintain margins and enhance product quality. As Operations Manager, you will be the go-to person for all things Production on site. Whilst managing recruitment, training and development of your teams, you will prioritise full engagement and alignment with your improvement initiatives. The candidate profile: You have gained experience managing production teams in a complex process driven manufacturing environment, managing your own budget/P&L. It is essential that you have gained experience in an agile SME, with exposure to international groups a preference. Above all you are a natural leader who thrives on engaging teams through change and improvements, with a view to maximising peoples performance.
