An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of the Respiratory Physiology Service at the University Hospital of North Midlands. The Trust is currently going through a huge development that will result in a centre of excellence for the patients and staff of North Staffordshire & surrounding counties. The Respiratory Medicine provides a comprehensive Respiratory service for the local population as well as being the tertiary referral centre for Wolverhampton, Shropshire, South Manchester & parts of Derbyshire & Cheshire. The service is predominantly outpatient within the dedicated respiratory physiology department at Royal Stoke Hospital. UHNM runs a comprehensive diagnostic & treatment service. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic & reliable individual to join & lead the physiology team based at the Respiratory Physiology, Royal Stoke University Hospital, which extends to the County site. Applicants should ideally have a proven track record of managing a Respiratory Physiology Service, experience as an independent practitioner across the range of routine & specialised investigations and therapeutic interventions with theoretical & practical knowledge of a range of work procedures & practices and educated to MSc level. The clinical scientist works within the Respiratory Physiology Service in conjunction with the service lead to provide a specialist clinical services for the investigation and treatment of all respiratory and non-respiratory disorders.
