Every member of our team plays an integral role in driving success, and we’re looking for an early career Assistant Management Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment and is eager to make a meaningful impact. About the Role: The Assistant Management Accountant will support finance with a variety of responsibilities, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, and management accounts. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong numerical skills and a willingness to tackle ad hoc tasks as required. You'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of Orderly's financial operations. Responsibilities: Take ownership of purchase ledger - process purchase invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers Keep on top of our expense management system (Moss) and process all credit card transactions and employee reimbursement requests Work closely with our sales team to generate and issue sales invoices accurately and on time Monitor accounts receivable and take the lead on credit control Process monthly payroll for our UK team using our payroll software (HiBob UK Payroll) ensuring necessary filings and all payroll control accounts are reconciled monthly Work with our external payroll providers overseas to complete global payroll Take ownership over preparation of the monthly management accounts, including all balance sheet reconciliations and working journals including prepayments, deferred revenue and accruals Assist in the preparation of ad hoc reports, variance analysis, cash flow forecasting and budgeting as needed Review and submit our monthly VAT return with the support of our external accountants Support our external accountants and R&D tax providers with any queries they may have Qualifications: At least 3 year’s experience working within a finance environment, with some experience producing monthly management accounts Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes including sound knowledge of UK VAT and accounting conventions Proficient in Google Sheets/Excel and familiarity with SaaS companies Well-organised with an aptitude in problem-solving Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A commitment to sustainability and food waste reduction Location: Remote (UK based) Responsible to: (line manager) Head of People Salary range: £30,000 - £40,000 Inclusivity Statement At Orderly, we value diversity, creativity, and continuous learning.
