Female Support Workers - Farnborough
Part-Time position available (20 hours per week)
Pay: £12.44 Per Hour
Would you like a role where you can improve the lives and empower the independence of people in Farnborough ? Dimensions, an award winning, not-for-profit support organisation, are seeking Waking Night Female Support Workers to do just that!
The 3 gentlemen and 1 lady we support, share a supported living home. They would like you to know they are currently looking for a new housemate so eventually you will be part of a team that enables 5 people to live an independent life. The people we support are in their 50's and have learning disabilities and autism. They would like to meet Female Support Workers who can help then to safe at night. The types of things you will be doing include :
- Keeping the people we support company if they are choosing to have a late night
- Undertaking hourly checks on the people we support whilst they are asleep
- Providing reassurance to the people we support if they wake up during the night
- Assisting with personal care if needed
- Doing household tasks (laundry, cleaning of shared areas of the house, etc,) that cannot be done whilst people are awake
- Ensuring all relevant paperwork is kept up to date.
The people we support want you to know that not all of them use words to communicate but they have different ways of telling you what they want. If you have not had to communicate with people who do not use words before, don't worry, as Dimensions provide all Female Support Workers with full training. They would also like you to know that they all feel more comfortable using their wheelchairs when they are out and about but 3 of them can walk when they are at home.
This is a part-time role of 20 hours per week. You will be working 21.30-07.30 every Tuesday and Saturday. Dimensions are happy to offer a pay rate of £12.44 per hour.
