Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen and applications are invited for a Paediatric Colorectal Surgical Fellow in the Department of Paediatric Surgery and Urology at Birmingham Children's Hospital. There is 1 full time post available on the middle grade rota commencing April 2025. The duration of the post is 6 months. Main duties of the job The Department of Paediatric Surgery and Urology consist of 14 Consultant Paediatric Surgeons / Urologists. It serves a regional population of over 5 million, as well as receiving supra-regional referrals for complex cases. In addition, two Paediatric Hepatobiliary and Transplant surgeons provide their training expertise. The placement offers exposure to a wide range of Paediatric Colorectal Surgery at tertiary level. Successful Candidates will join the team on the Non-Resident Registrar Tier on the Paediatric Surgery and Urology on call rota (please see job description for a description of the tiered rota). Applicants should possess either the AFRC/FRCS/MRCS or recognised equivalent European examination. Due to the nature of the position, the successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
