Working closely with insights, category teams, stores and the Travel Commercial team you will develop and deliver a market leading retail strategy, focussed on Travel retail and emphasising the Best of Boots to our customers, and key strategic partners. ABOUT THE ROLE This role is part of our newly formed Travel Retail commercial team, dedicated to our airport and train station business. The role reports into the Senior Commercial Manager, Travel, this is a manager level role with no direct reports. The role will expand the retail product range to include Travel exclusive & travel relevant products, with a focus on activating key NPD launches into the travel format, review our pricing position within the market and propose options to mitigate and support the development of the overarching commercial strategy. You will predominantly face internally working with the wider commercial teams on pricing insight and category level strategy Including occasional interaction with travel relevant suppliers. External supplier relationships will be required as new lines are identified and sourced for distribution in stores. Management of senior stakeholder relationships both internally & externally. Key responsibilities Identify and source new product and range opportunities, working closely with Stores Productivity Lead and GTM Lead to deliver best in class execution. Need for analytical skills with a focus on performance tracking. Ability to present data to key stakeholders internally/externally. As well as to understand which commercial opportunities are the right ones. Manging Area Manager/Store Manager relationships to ensure operational/executional excellence across key commercial initiatives. Develop travel pricing policy and work with cross functional teams to implement, Support with the development and maintenance of the travel commercial strategy. What you’ll need to have Experienced retail candidate (ideally across at least two of Commercial, Retail, Marketing and Insight) High level, and experience, of commercial acumen Track record of delivery to targets, through the creation of owned plans and strategies Ability to see multiple perspectives (commercial, customer, brand and operational) to drive for the right blended strategy and outcome Experience managing key stakeholders and working cross functionally. It would be great if you also have Experience in Travel Retail / high volume retail.
