This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Manager to join a successful, progressive manufacturing business who have a long-standing presence in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance processes within the organisation. This role ensures that all products, services, and processes meet established quality standards, are in compliance with relevant regulations, and adhere to industry best practices.
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the QA team, developing quality assurance strategies, and implementing processes to improve the overall quality and efficiency of production, service delivery, and operations.
Role Description:
1. Ensure Product or Service Quality: Ensuring services meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Setting quality standards, conducting inspections, and implementing corrective actions.
2. Establish processes for continuous improvement, monitoring performance, identifying inefficiencies, and working on strategies to improve overall quality.
3. Ensuring the company adheres to industry standards, laws, and regulations.
4. Responsible for training staff and fostering a culture of quality across the company, including workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training.
5. Maintain and enhance quality management systems (QMS), such as ISO 9001.
6. Monitor customer feedback, addressing complaints to identify areas helping to improve customer satisfaction.
7. Identifying and managing risks that may impact product or service quality, developing plans to mitigate those risks.
8. Using data and metrics to track quality performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions for process improvements.
9. Conducting internal audits and inspections.
10. Collaborate with teams to understand ground-level challenges and implement practical solutions.
11. Utilise continuous improvement methodologies to enhance processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
12. Provide support to production teams to enhance quality outcomes and optimise processes.
Skills And Qualifications:
1. Experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing setting.
2. Strong knowledge of modern manufacturing processes and quality improvement strategies.
3. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
4. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Relevant qualifications in a quality or engineering field.
6. Detail-oriented, resilient, and results-driven with a focus on collaboration and facilitation.
