Job Title: Document Controller Location: Canary Wharf, London Industry: Main Contractor – Construction (Fit-Out Project) Salary: up to £40,000 plus package About the Opportunity: We are working with a leading Main Contractor who is looking to hire a Document Controller to join their team on a prestigious fit-out construction project in Canary Wharf, London. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong document management experience, specifically using Procore, to play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of project documentation across multiple teams and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Take responsibility for managing all project documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence, ensuring they are accurately logged and easily accessible. Oversee the uploading, organization, and tracking of documents within Procore, ensuring all files are correctly labeled, version-controlled, and compliant with company and project-specific requirements. Act as the main point of contact for document control, ensuring timely distribution of documents to contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Maintain an accurate record of all project-related communications, such as emails, meeting minutes, and decision logs, and ensure they are stored properly. Liaise with various project teams to ensure that all required documentation is submitted, approved, and updated in a timely manner. Assist with the preparation of project reports and updates for senior management, ensuring all documentation is current and accurate. Maintain strict adherence to project documentation processes and compliance standards. Ensure that all critical project documents, including design changes and project specifications, are available to relevant stakeholders and teams. Provide regular updates and progress reports on document control activities to project management. Key Requirements: Experience as a Document Controller within the construction or fit-out sector, preferably with experience working for a main contractor. Experience using Procore for document management, coordination, and collaboration. Strong understanding of construction documentation and processes, including drawings, contracts, and specifications. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams, contractors, and stakeholders. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to document management and filing systems. Experience working on Canary Wharf or high-profile projects in central London is highly desirable. Desirable Qualifications: A relevant degree or certification in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
