Health and physical education
Due to our growing roll, we are currently seeking applications for a highly motivated teacher of health and physical education. Applicants will need to be NZ registered, have a learner-centred focus, and be excited about working in a collaborative, flexible, and responsive learning environment. Please state all supporting subjects on your application; science and/or mathematics is an advantage.
Developing self, building communities, and transforming futures through the Rolleston Spirit is at the heart of everything we do at our College. As a teacher, you will be passionate about both academic and personal success, able to cultivate a learning community, and have a desire to provide a genuine learner-centred education.
At Rolleston College, we work to provide contextual learning opportunities that offer our learners choice and agency while still gaining the necessary skills, knowledge, and qualifications. We believe in the concept of AKO and that we are all learners. Collaborative practice is fundamental to our curriculum and philosophy as educators.
As a restorative practice school, we believe strongly in building and enhancing positive professional relationships with our learners. All teachers are expected to be involved in our whānau system and are active in providing mentoring and academic counselling to students in a warm and demanding way.
