We’re headquartered in Brighton, with our teams working hybrid and remotely across the UK. Ad-hoc travel to London or Brighton will be required.
The role
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our dynamic Business Development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, engaging with prospects through various channels, utilising automation where possible to drive efficiency, and nurturing long-term relationships to drive growth.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Market research and targeting: Identify and segment key industries, companies, and personas that align with our ideal customer profile.
2. Lead qualification: Assess and prioritise leads based on fit, readiness, and potential value to ensure high-quality pipeline development.
3. Personalised outreach: Develop tailored messaging and engagement strategies for different audience segments, ensuring relevance and impact.
4. Multi-channel outreach and management: Engage and manage prospects and campaigns through email, LinkedIn, phone, and other relevant channels to establish opportunity and set up meetings.
5. Demand Generation: Develop and implement strategies to acquire and nurture leads by providing valuable content and maintaining regular communication.
6. Collaboration with marketing: Work closely with the sales and marketing team to align messaging, content, and campaigns with lead generation efforts, ensuring a cohesive approach.
7. CRM & Inbox management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system, ensuring data hygiene, timely responses, and tracking performance metrics.
8. Reporting: Run weekly reports on lead gen activity and top of funnel campaigns via relevant systems.
9. Proposal support: Assist in the preparation of credential decks and proposals, tailoring them to meet the specific needs of prospective clients.
10. Event participation: Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities as needed to represent the company and generate leads.
Skills and experience
Required
1. Demonstrated experience in lead generation and business development, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
3. Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot), lead gen software, and proficiency in using LinkedIn and other digital tools for outreach and lead management.
4. Highly motivated with the ability to ramp up quickly.
5. Willingness to travel to the Brighton office for key company events, and ad hoc travel to industry events.
6. Attention to detail and proofreading skills.
7. Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skills.
8. Excellent IT skills and digital literacy.
Highly desirable
1. Experience in or understanding of the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors - with a passion for making a positive impact.
2. A solid understanding of digital product design practices, including UX and UI.
