Skills Required Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure Good organisational skills Clear and effective verbal and written communication Ability to record data accurately Responsibilities To undertake the following testing: identification MALDI-ToF and Gram Staining, Preservative Efficacy Testing, Validation of c ompendial methods including Total viable counts by plate count and membrane filtration and absence of pathogens, Fertility of Media, Bioburden recovery efficiency, Enumeration of spore strips, as well as the ability to perform bespoke and exciting project work for our clients. Opportunity to cross train with other testing sections To ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the method/s supplied, in a manner to obtain accurate results. To undertake routine basic laboratory duties and/or clerical duties as directed and documenting in compliance with Company procedures. To undertake monitoring and care of equipment. To perform microbiological techniques in order to progress with appropriate testing tasks in the laboratory. To collate data for laboratory records for the preparation of reports and for compliance with quality procedures for work performed in their Section. To be aware of work progress in their area and provide operational support when required. Requirements Minimum of 5 GCSE's at level C or equivalent, including Math's and English Degree in relevant science subject (or equivalent) would be beneficial Knowledge of microbiology and GMP would be advantageous Critical Skills required Effective communication to all levels Accuracy and attention to detail Able to work under pressure Aseptic technique Experience within a GMP setting would be an advantage but not essential Our Ideal Candidate We are looking for an enthusiastic people person who can work both individually and as part of a friendly and knowledgeable team.
